Josie Sandler, CEO and Founder of Sandler Search, has nearly two decades of executive search experience and nonprofit management. Her expertise is in partnering with CEOs, boards of directors and search committees to recruit senior executives for leading nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and philanthropies in New York City, across the United States, nationally and internationally.
Josie founded Sandler Search in 2010 following successful tenures at Korn/Ferry International and Heidrick & Struggles. She has completed more than 120 assignments for senior executives across the nonprofit, educational and philanthropic sectors in addition to searches for other mission-related organizations.
Before entering the search profession, Josie served as Associate Vice President, Corporate Affairs at Prudential Securities and as Manager of Corporate Fund Raising for New York Cares. She began her career at R.H. Macy’s in their retail executive management program.
A native New Yorker, Josie earned an MPA degree from NYU Wagner School of Public Service and a BA from Dartmouth College. She is a recent member of the Dartmouth Alumni Council. Josie serves on the Board of Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel and participated in the Maccabiah Games in Israel and Argentina. She has run in the New York City Marathon twice.
