CEO/Founder
Josie Sandler is the CEO and Founder of Sandler Search, bringing over two decades of experience in executive search and nonprofit management. She partners closely with CEOs, boards of directors, and search committees to recruit senior executives for leading nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and philanthropies in New York City and across the United States and internationally. She was recently recognized on the Manhattan Power List by Schneps Media.
Josie founded Sandler Search in 2010, recently celebrating the firm’s 15th anniversary, following successful tenures at Korn/Ferry International and Heidrick & Struggles. She has completed hundreds of senior-level search assignments across the nonprofit, educational, philanthropic, and mission-driven sectors.
Earlier in her career, Josie served as Associate Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Prudential Securities and as Manager of Corporate Fundraising for New York Cares. She began her career in the retail executive management program at R.H. Macy’s.
A native New Yorker, Josie holds an MPA from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service and a BA from Dartmouth College. She currently serves on the board of Anthos Home, is a long-time voting member of Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel, and co-leads Bridges to Impact, a Dartmouth alumni mentoring organization. She has also served on host committees for Jumpstart and on her cooperative board.
Josie lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
