ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Maccabee Task Force (MTF) is seeking a trailblazing, strategic, and hands-on leader to serve as its Chief Development Officer (CDO).
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the CDO will design and drive a next-generation development strategy, grow and diversify MTF’s donor base, and build the team, tools, and systems needed to support sustained fundraising success. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and is deeply passionate about MTF’s mission.
Key responsibilities include:
Fundraising Strategy, Major Gifts & Leadership
- Design and lead MTF’s overall development strategy to significantly grow annual revenue and drive long-term sustainability.
- Identify, cultivate and steward a portfolio of major donors, with a focus on building relationships and expanding giving.
- Partner with the MTF Leadership on high-level donor engagement and fundraising initiatives.
Development Operations & Communications
- Identify and implement innovative fundraising tools, platforms, and systems.
- Maintain consistent reporting and data-driven insight on fundraising progress for internal stakeholders.
- Develop and help oversee fundraising communications, including compelling materials, messaging, and events that bring MTF’s mission to life.
Team & Infrastructure
- Build and scale a high-performing development team; hire and manage staff and/or consultants as needed.
- Build internal systems and processes to support donor tracking, research, and stewardship.
- Champion a culture of fundraising across the organization.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial fundraising leader to shape the future of an organization with an urgent and timely mission. MTF welcomes dynamic candidates who bring bold ideas, entrepreneurial energy, and a deep passion for the fight against antisemitism and anti-Zionism.
The ideal candidate may not have followed a conventional development path but will bring:
- A proven ability to build relationships and inspire action—whether through fundraising, advocacy, organizing, or related fields.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to connect with diverse donors and allies around a compelling vision.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strategic approach.
- Comfort with or exposure to fundraising strategy, donor engagement, or CRM tools—or the curiosity and discipline to learn them fast.
- A strong connection to MTF’s mission, and a desire to work on the front lines of Jewish advocacy and campus engagement; familiarity with the current campus space a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Willingness to travel (30%-50%) to key donor meetings and events.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary range: $225,000 – $300,000, commensurate with experience.
TO APPLY: Qualified candidates should submit their resume and a thoughtful cover letter here.
ABOUT MACCABEE TASK FORCE
The Maccabee Task Force (MTF) was created in 2015 to combat the disturbing spread of antisemitism on college campuses. Our approach is bold: we invest deeply in a select group of campuses and communities to fund a full year of pro-Israel programming. We empower our partners on the ground to take back the narrative, strengthen their allies, and expose the truth about Israel and the antisemitism that often hides behind anti-Zionism.
In just a few years, we’ve expanded from six campuses to over 100, reaching thousands of students and increasingly working in high schools and local communities. MTF is a lean, entrepreneurial team with big ambitions and a sense of urgency. We’re now seeking a new Chief Development Officer to help scale our impact.
