Michelle Burgess joins Sandler Search with over 14 years of program and talent acquisition experience in the education and nonprofit sectors. She is a native Houstonian and a proud graduate of Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

Michelle has dedicated her career to providing opportunities to underserved communities and has a passion for supporting social impact organizations. Michelle has significant executive search, most recently at Teach For America, and previously led talent acquisition at YES Prep Public Schools overseeing all recruitment and hiring for the charter management organization serving over 12,000 students. Additionally, Michelle has worked with college women across the US to harness their political power at IGNITE, Education Pioneers leading programming across the Southern Region and supported high school students in a college access program called Genesys Works.

In her free time, Michelle loves to travel to new places and can be found most days playing with her adorable pup, Millie.
